On a train near the border between Romania and Moldova, 2004.

I like traveling by train through the night and waking up at my destination the next morning, the train stops in many stations along the way, while I am often exhausted and half asleep I look outside the window to survey the dark landscapes, travelers on the tracks struggling with their luggage and people at the train doors biding fairway to their departing relatives. The train has many passengers of different backgrounds, but it passes through the same landscape, we are all responding to the same political and cultural pressures.
